Maxxis-Cup 2003 - pagey - 2002-11-25 laut maxxis cup homepage gibt es am tag vorm rennen ein amateur-rennen, die 5 schnellsten daraus dürfen dann am haupt-race teilnehmen , so hab ich das verstanden ----------- For this year the Maxxis Cup keeps the two competitions format, one of them in Spain and the other in different european countries. For the 2003 a race for the non professional riders appears on saturday afternoon with the following cathegories: cadet, junior, senior and master. The 5 best in each cathergory will pass to the professional final race on sunday, being able to challenge against the best riders at the moment. Great news! Initiation cathegories in the Maxxis Cup Spain on saturday afternoon. [more info] Select on the left the race that you wish and you will find all the information that you need (how to arrive, area map, lodging options (with special disccounts), trainning and race time schedule... Do not forget to visit the regulation (remember that each competition has its own regulation). Last news 19-11-2002: Coming back from Zagrb (Croatia) to inspect the 2003 Maxxis Cup circuit for the 27th of april race. Good slopes within the woods and little more than 2 minutes of fast downhill for a nice emplacement that grants a massive public for all the weekend. The circuit will be redesigned, based on the old Olympus Downhill track, to make it longer and include some more turns. A weng anstrengend 2 Tag hintereinander a Rennen. I hätt jetz gern an Smiley mit Schweißperlen auf da Stirn Maxxis-Cup 2003 - Rüdiger - 2002-11-26 Des is aber a Witz. Da starten dann 100 (oder mehr?) Hobbyfahrer und fighten um 5 Startplätze, die anderen schauen dann nur zu, des kanns net sein... Ich mein nur, dass es heuer z.B. in Todtnau schon stressig genug war mir den Elite Startern allein, was den Lift anbelangt. Ich find das net gut, da es einerseits für die Hobbyfahrer die reinste Verarschung ist und auch für die Elite Klasse net so optimal, wenn das Starterfeld dann sooo groß ist. Und wenn dann sowieso mehr Rennen in Mitteleuropa stattfinden (so wie es die MTB Rider schreibt), dann ist das Problem mit den "kleinen" Startfeldern (auf den Spanischen Inseln) auch keines mehr. Weiters is des ja auch arg, dass Maxxis die Serie auf 10 Rennen ausdehen will (lt. MTB Rider). Aber gut, je mehr Rennen, desto besser...
