RACE REGULATIONS:

CHAPTER 1. ORGANIZATION

Race Rijeka Downtown – Urban Downhill 2009 is organized by Biciklistički klub
(Bike Club) - Veli Vrh, I.G. Kovačića 12, 51000 Rijeka, according to HBS
(Croatian Cycling Federation) and UCI regulations.

CHAPTER 2. RACE TYPE & CATEGORIES

Race is open for following categories:
Elite Men (ELM) 19 years and above (licence categories: Elite, U23)
Eliet Women (ELW) 13 years and above (licence categories: Elite, U23, Junior,
Kadet, Youth A (U15), Veteran A,B,C
Junior M (JM) 13-18 years (licence categories: Junior, Kadet, Youth A (U15))
Master M (MM) 30 years and above (licence categories: Veteran A,B,C )
Amateur (licence categories: Sport A, Sport B, Cycling for all, one day licenced)

CHAPTER 3. RACE PARTICIPATION

Race is open for UCI Continental Teams, National Teams, Regional Teams,
Clubs and everyone who is properly registrated and accepts this regulations.
CHAPTER 4. RACE OFFICE
Race office will be opened on saturday 12.09.2009. from 11:00 to 13:00 and
16:00 to 19:30 on finish area.

CHAPTER 5. PRIZES

First three racers from all categories recive medals and awards, and winners
recive cup.
Money prize of 10.000,00 Kuna (cca. 1.360,00 Euro) will be divided for first 5
racers overall in men category and first 3 overall in women category as follows:

CHAPTER 6. REGISTRATION & STARTING FEE

Racers should register untill thursday 10.09.2009 at 12:00 AM at official website:

Starting fee is 150kn (cca 21€). For late entries starting fee is 220kn (cca 32€),
and racers should register on saturday 12.09.2009. from 11:00 to 13:00 at race
office.
Racers who are registrated online, but not participing the race have to inform the
organizer until friday 11.09.2009. at 12:00 AM, on above mentioned e-mail
adress. If the racer do not inform the organizer, all registred racers from that
team or club will not be alloved to participate the race untill his starting fee is not
payed.
Starting numbers pick-up and licence checkout will be on saturday 12.09.2009.
from 11:00 to 13:00 at race office. Registration must contain: name and surname,
number of licence, UCI code, licence category and name of Team/Club.
Due to time constraints of training, qualification and final run, maximum number
of racers will be limited to 120. Licenced racers have advantage over non
licensed, but we will allso consider the time of registration.
Starting fee includes transportation according to time table, meal and drink on the
race, T-shirt, meal and drink on the afterparty and parking space (on designated
place on the parking Gomila).

CHAPTER 7. NON LICENSED RACERS

All racers that don't have UCI licence can participate only in amateur category
and have to pay one day licence fee of 40 kuna (cca 7€). This should be done
untill Wednesday 09.09.2009.
An exeption for this are foreign racers who can pay the fee for one day licence on
Saturday at the race office when registering and reciving race number. They will
have to fill one day licence form personally.
Rules for registration procedure still aplies and are explained in article 6.
Holders of the UDACE licence (http://www.udace.it) don't have to do a one-day
licence, and they can participate only in Amateur category.

CHAPTER 8. QUALIFYING & FINAL RACE START LIST

Starting list for qualifying run will be determined by judges at their own criteria.
This will be done on Friday based on recived online registration.
Starting list for final race is determined by qualifying times, from worst to best.
CHAPTER 9. SAFETY ON RACE COURSE
Race course will be marked with plastic tapes, and metal fences. All dangerous
parts will be properly secured.
On race course there will be marshals, judges, and the safety crew. There will be
allso medical assistance with doctor.
On the parts where the race course crosses the roads, whole traffic will be
stopped and redirected by the police.

CHAPTER 10. RACE COURSE

Whole race course is located in the center of the city Rijeka. Start of the course is
located on Kozala (Baštijanova ulica) on 85m above sea level, and the finish line
is located in the main centre of the city (Koblerov Trg) on 1 m above the sea
level.
Race course is a combination of stairs, asphalt road and parks. The base is
asphalt, marble, gravel, with some parts of dirt. In rain condition, race track can
be very slippery and dangerous.
Race course lenght is 901m with 84m of elevelation. There are some artificially
made jumps and drops. .
