Rules And Regulations
The 1st Alpe Adria Downhill Cup is organized by GO BIKE Gorizia, BANG BROTHERS Klagenfurt and SNURFCLUB Ljubljana
The race series consists of three downhill races:
19-20 March in Peteano (GO) Italy organized by Go Bike Gorizia (e-mail [email=Gobike@Gobike.it)]Gobike@Gobike.it)[/email]
21-22 May in Flattniz Austria, organized by RV Bang Brothers (e-mail [email=office@rvbangbrothers.at)]office@rvbangbrothers.at)[/email]
13-14 August in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, organized by Snurfclub (e-mail [email=snurfclub@siol.net)]snurfclub@siol.net)[/email]
National rules of the hosting federation apply to each indivudual event including the race categories, entry fees and race format.
As such the italian event is run in the format of two Sunday runs with the best time of each rider taken for final classification while austrian and slovenian race results are decided only by times scored in the final of the two Sunday runs.
CATEGORIES
To unify the national categories on the three involved countires the categories for Alpe Adria downhill cup ranking are the following:
AA DH Cup UCI Italy Austria Slovenia
U17 + Junior U17 + Junior Allievi, Junior Junior Junior
Under 23 + Elite men Under 23 + Elite men Under 23 + Elite men elite men elite men
Masters Masters Master 1, 2, 3... Masters Masters
Sportsmen + Promozionale amateur + non licensed Sportsmen + Promozionale Fun class, licenced and daily pass Amateur, licenced and daily pass
Women Women all cat. Women Women Women

For the purpose of overall Alpe Adria DH Cup ranking “virtual” classifications will have to be made at events to match the Alpe Adria DH Cup categories.
Points will be awarded according to the following formula:
place 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th
points 20 17 15 12 11 10 9 8 7 6
place 11th 12th 13th 14th 15th 16th 17th 18th continues 1 point per qualified rider
points 5 4 3 2 1 1 1 1
The team’s best placed rider in each category will be bringing his team points for the team ranking. There should be at least five riders finishing the race in a category or the points will not be awarded for team ranking from that category.
