The highlights of the new Demo frame are as follows:
- 3/4 of a pound shaved off of the previous Demo (complete top-end model should comes in around 36lbs).
- Rear end hub spacing is now updated to 150mm over last years 135mm (150 equals more DH hub/wheel options)
- BB is lower for more stability, but if you are a pedal basher you could raise it 10mm via a insert that is on the rear shock eyelet. This also steepens the head angle a half of degree.
- Demo's BB is now a press fit BB 30. Although the press fit BB is not new technology, it is on 83mm DH BB shells. This will allow for stronger and lighter drive options in the future. For now, there are threaded adapters pressed in to allow for a standard crank and BB set up.
- Head tube down to 112 mm from 120mm last year, keeping with the current low front end trends to aid in stability.
- Frame has a lower center of gravity because of its lower-slung rear triangle
and top tube, which will aid for stability.
- Chainstays get a tad shorter also.
P.S. BB30 Innendurchmesser ist 42mm
